Al Jazirah Ford Racing (JFR) Team

Al Jazirah Vehicles launched Al Jazirah Ford Racing (JFR) on the 25th anniversary. The number 25, consequently, is an integral part of the team’s identity. JFR’s first participation was during Middle East Red Bull Car Park Drift in 2011. The team, then, consisted of one car, one driver and was just a trial project under marketing arm inspired by the visit of the American drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. in 2010 to Saudi Arabia as part of Ford’s activation for the 5.0 MY2011 Mustang. The team went on that year to win Saudi Arabia round and succeeded in representing the Kingdom in the Middle East finals in Lebanon. Ever since, the vision of the team went under so much sculpturing and refining. As a CSR program, JFR is presenting a valuable opportunity to talented Saudi nationals in the domain of motorsport providing a launching pad for careers in the motorsport industry. Today, the team consists of 7 race cars, five drivers and 8 mechanics and performance specialists, all of Saudi nationalities and under the belt are four championships; three in drifting and one in GT racing.

JFR participations is not confined to Saudi geographical boarders as the team already clinched first and second spots in UAE drift championship 2013 and was marked in 8th place worldwide after the conclusion of 6 rounds in three European stations. The experience JFR team is gaining is priceless and this is even more valuable when the team, as JFR, is completely synchronized and charged to shorten the learning curves and move up the ladder in drifting drag racing and autocross.
